Candour is the brainchild of Kat Mayhew and Guada Oliver, two wine-loving friends who realised that there was a great deal of room for improvement when it comes to sustainable wine-making. Bottles are great for ageing wine. And yet most wine is made to be - and is - drunk young. There is no need for glass, which accounts for around 50% of a wine’s carbon footprint. Aluminium is the perfect solution, reducing carbon emissions and, happily, keeping young wines youthful and fresh.
